REFLECTIONS:

  • something that surprised or delighted you

  • something that inspired or irked you

  • something you’re curious to know more about

QUESTIONS:

  1. Are the construction/infrastructure projects in your community designed with our changing climate and with justice in mind?

  2. What’s your favorite example of leveraging design as part of climate solutions?

  3. Can you think of ways to make climate solutions more beautiful?

  4. What do you imagine as the ideal role of technology in addressing the climate crisis?

  5. Are there major problems or possibilities left out of this section?

  6. Can you imagine reverting to some ways of living from before disposability and consumerism (e.g., single-use plastic and fast fashion) took hold?

ACTIONS:

  • Repair something instead of throwing it away. Share something instead of letting it collect dust.

  • Upgrade your home energy systems — switch to renewable sources for electricity, cooking, heating, and cooling — and improve energy efficiency. (Resource for tips and tax credits: energy.gov/save)

  • Attend (and comment at) a public hearing for a proposed local infrastructure or development project.

  • Other ideas for action?
